Help me give my students a classroom that meets their sensory and mental health needs like snacks and sensory items that support a calm mental state. Items like hole punches help us keep organized, which lowers stress.

My Project

I am setting up my Resource Room for students to have a space where needs are met - mental health, stress relief, hunger, school supplies, and health needs are things that can distract students from learning. Fidgets and snacks in particular help remove barriers to focus on school and support mental health. Other supplies will help me help students stay organized, which reduces anxiety for them and helps them focus on their classwork.

Disabilities that lead to distraction and anxiety are common in my students, and these tools will help them to focus on their school work.

Additionally, food insecurity is a real issue for many students that leads to further distraction and stress.
