My Project
I adore my students' boundless energy and eagerness to explore! They're a vibrant group, always ready for a new challenge. The Boomwhackers project is perfect for channeling student's enthusiasm into a constructive, joyous learning experience.
These will provide a unique opportunity for hands-on music exploration, fostering teamwork as they create rhythmic patterns and melodies together.
This project will undoubtedly ignite a lifelong love for music in students, and will be a gateway to exploring hands on instruments to create music as a team, demonstrating the vital role each member of the ensemble plays.
The tubes themselves are a wonderful opportunity to teach about the physics of sound, and they visualize well how devices of different lengths create different tones, and that half sized tubes are an octave higher (double frequency). The octavators also are wonderful in this aspect, as they act to double the length of the tube, there for halving the frequency and lowering the note one octave.
