My Project
The population of my school has increased, so I need to add additional Boomwhacker sets to my classroom. I've already found that I love having them as part of my music curriculum, but I no longer have enough to go around.
Boomwhackers are a particularly fun learning tool for my 5th graders.
I actually encourage them to HIT something, and they make music while they're doing it. They play with a partner, take time to work through the process of learning a song, and then get the satisfaction of creating music with the whole class. It is a great practical application of the music theory I've taught them in previous grades, and a fun way of proving to them that they really have learned something.
