My students need musical instruments in the music classroom that they can use to help create their own songs. Boomwhackers are durable and great for song creation!

My Students
What do you mean you have no instruments? This is Music Class!
How would you like to answer that question to over 400 students every year? I have been doing this for over 5 years now and have decided to do something about it....ask for help.
My students love music and I want more for them.
My students are an energetic bunch of 7th and 8th grade students in a very rural school district in South Carolina.
They love to be active and to sing in Music Class. My school does everything it can to provide for our students, but with limited funds and resources, it cannot buy much for the music program. My principal would like to do more, but I would love to find alternative ways to funding the instruments my students need for classroom instruction.
My Project
My students will use the Boomwhackers and accessories that come along with them to create short songs and rhythms to accompany song lyrics they have written. They will create music exercises using patterns on the Boomwhackers. They will also use the Boomwhackers to make patterns to help them memorize important content information from all content areas.
My students are always wanting to play on instruments in my room.
I inherited a Music Room with absolutely NO INSTRUMENTS other than the upright piano that was desperately out of tune. I would absolutely love to have an instrument of some kind to be able to use to vary my instruction.
