My Project
Our students LOVE to play any kind of instruments in music class. Unfortunately, we have only a few of most instruments, rather than a full class set for all kids to use. One of my favorite instruments to teach is Boomwhackers - they can be used to teach beat, rhythm, melody, harmony, form, and more. Plus, they are made of plastic and therefore easy to clean! This project includes regular size (middle octave) Boomwhackers, bass (low octave), treble (high octave), and chromatic Boomwhackers, so that when we are studying melody, we can play any song we can find!
Our students will love using these new instruments to play new songs and work on their beat, rhythm, and melody!
This project also includes a class set of tone blocks, which can be added to any song for a nice clean wood sound. One last item is a few adaptive tools for some students who need extra physical or emotional support to be successful in music class.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
