Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are intelligent, caring and inquisitive. They enjoy reading different literature and having discussions that help them understand their world, however, we are short of books that are available for them.

We are a small school, servicing a spectrum of students from different socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds.

My students, a group of 24, are a reflection of our neighborhood, representative of many cultures and backgrounds who make up the community of our room.

My Project

With this gift, my students will be exposed to literature they might otherwise not be aware of. The availability of a wide variety of books and different authors will introduce them to new ideas and give them an opportunity to initiate and continue discussions that can make a lasting impact in their academic careers and beyond.

Your generous donation will help to broaden my students' thinking skills by giving them resources to have quality conversation and access to engaging literature which will feed their hunger for reading.
