Help me give my students the books they've been wanting to read from BookTok!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Vu's classroom raised $210

My Students
I work with 120 students this academic year, and I have taught the majority of them for either two or three consecutive years. They care deeply about the social justice issues that impact them and their communities, including, but not limited to, environmental justice, community health, racial injustice, gender discrimination, and poverty as well as how these intersecting issues lead to violence.
Not only are my students aware of these complex issues, but they are also problem solvers, healers, critical thinkers, and, most importantly, activists.
Many of them work within their communities to bring people together to think of and facilitate creative ways to resolve these issues.
My Project
One of the biggest results of students spending time on the social media app, TikTok, is the fluctuation of books students want to read thanks to the BookTok hashtag! Many of my students have been asking me if I have any copies of books they've seen on BookTok, and they're often disappointed when I tell them I have not been able to house any of those books for them to borrow due to funding.
I am hoping to continue to make my classroom library relevant, engaging and fun for students.
These books will further students' interests in reading and storytelling, which will then translate to the classroom.
