Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our elementary art classroom, creativity and curiosity go hand in hand. To support our students’ growth not just as artists, but as thoughtful, reflective individuals, I’m working to create a cozy and inviting reading area where students can explore books about social-emotional learning and the world of art. With your help, we hope to add six small bookshelves that will give these important books a permanent, accessible home in our classroom.

This reading area will offer students the chance to dive into topics like managing emotions, embracing mistakes, building confidence, and understanding diverse artists and cultures.

Whether they’re reading about color theory, how artists express feelings through their work, or simply taking a quiet moment with a story that helps them feel seen, this space will foster both learning and connection. Your support will help us create a nurturing corner where art and empathy meet—one book at a time. Thank you for your support!
