My Project
We are accumulating a lot of amazing, accessible science books for independent reading and language learning in my science classroom. Although we have plenty of cabinets for labware, we do not have good space for loads of books to be visible, reachable, and inspiring in the day to day.
These shelves will help transform some of the less efficiently used space in the front of our classroom into a library of wonder about the natural world and the universe.
My hope is for students to walk in and want to browse and read, to wish for a few extra minutes outside of our designated reading time to dive back into a book. Having a place to put a lot of books will make this possible.
