This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
On any given day I have 34 sixth graders squished into an old portable. There is very little room between desks, and finding ways to store books and other classroom supplies can be tricky. Furniture is often mismatched and in various states of repair.
Bookshelves will help organize our student library and other classroom supplies.
New, matching bookshelves will give our room a clean, cohesive look while solving our storage needs. A less cluttered room will make it easier to focus on work and give the students a comfortable, inviting place to spend their day.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
