My Project

Each summer students have the opportunity to participate in a summer program dedicated to reduce recidivism and to provide students with positive productive options supported by mentoring. Students will greatly benefit from a guided book study to include in their summer program to engage with their mentors and peers!

A book study will help to organize, direct and engage the literacy development of high school students.

This will also allow them to have meaningful and relatable reading material over current events and serve as self help literature with the goal to improve literacy and citizenship.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
