Help me give my students animated stuffed animals and toys that are engaging and will help increase their language/communication skills, social-emotional development, and enjoy family time.
My students are preschoolers with disabilities. My students are developmentally delayed and have speech/language delays. My students are adorable, smart, and loving. They are capable of so much and love to learn. Many of my students come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds with a wide range of academic abilities.
My Project
My preschool students with disabilities struggle to remain focused on a task. The interactive toys and books in this project are fun and engaging. These items will keep my students focused for longer periods of time. The items not only encourage students to think, be creative, and pretend/dramatic play, they will also help increase hand-eye coordination.
These animal characters, toys, and books will be sent home for parents to utilize with their children.
My students will be able to use the stuffed characters to role-play. They will love holding these stuffed animals when they are being read to. The Mr. and Mrs. Potato head family characters and Jenga will provide a fun and engaging family time experience. They will also provide an opportunity to engage in hand-eye coordination, communication skills, fine motor skills, and body part recognition. My students would truly benefit from the use of these items.
