This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our Title I STEAM and Social Justice magnet emphasizes the respect of self and others. Our pedagogy includes discipline and high expectations, as well as activism and compassion. Our African-American students share the school with Latino children and a few Asian kids. This mix offers unlimited opportunities to learn tolerance and teamwork while discovering new perspectives.

Students will not only be trained to be problem-solvers but will also consider how their solutions affect the environment and all members of society, here and abroad.

However, our school and our families can't afford the additional resources we need to support independent learning in a digital world and significantly improve student achievement. Thank you for helping our kids become successful, responsible, and productive citizens!

My Project

As a Social Justice teacher with half my class usually composed of Black students, I must address the current situation and provide the children ways to express their feelings. With class sets of Genesis and , my fourth grade students would be able to read and discuss about some life experience African American kids their age go through.

Moreover, thanks to your donation, our little community might be able to define paths of recovery and actions kids can take.

These discussions are going to be essential if we want our society to heal and become equitable.
