My Project

My students are eager learners. No matter their age, they love being read to and do their best to read aloud the words that they know. All of my students participate in counseling services to work towards social and emotional learning goals. Books are an amazing way to introduce and explain social skills. They provide a model for how to demonstrate appropriate behaviors (like sharing and using kind words with others). Books are also a great tool to help kids practice identifying and labeling feelings. They can help normalize feelings like anger, anxiety, and fear which reduces shame and helps support the development of healthy mental health in our little humans. Thank you so much for supporting our students!
