Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Every day my 6th grade students and pledge to be respectful, ready to learn, and safe at all times! We have the motto "work hard, and play hard" and that's what we do! My students know that every day is a new day and they can make the most out of it if they try. All of my students are learning at different levels and face many challenges in their lives, but they all give 100% no matter what they are faced with!
My Project
All of my students are reading at different levels and have different reading interests. Our current classroom library is very limited on books that suit their needs, most of the books are not grade appropriate, and not appealing to my students.
With these new books, my students will be more eager to read and want to expand on their reading skills.
I feel that these new books will motivate them to want to read daily and help them increase their reading levels. My goal is make them life long readers, and these books will help guide them in the right direction.
