I am an educator with 35 years of experience! This year in our 4th grade, we are rotating the students to help reteach and fill in the gaps in their learning. As a result of Covid-19 we have found that students need intensive study to help bridge those gaps. As a team we are teaching the subject we are passionate about, this means I am teaching ALL of the students in 4th grade! I am teaching Language Arts and absolutely love sharing my passion for reading! We have read class sets of novels that I have, but we need more titles! I love introducing young readers to excellent literature and teaching them comprehension skills as we share these books together.
My Project
Our students reading levels are at an all time low. Due to disruptions in education because of Covid-19, we have some gaps to fill to help students reach their reading goals. As a fourth grade team we have been working hard to help our students bridge the gaps. We have tried multiple grouping strategies that we are seeing great success with. We need additional classroom sets of literature to help students dig in to books, increase reading skills and comprehension. These books will be used for ALL the fourth grade students this year and for years to come. Thank you for your donation!
