This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach in a Title One school and have a group of eighteen wonderful first graders. Soon, they will be off to second grade to start their new journey. To say goodbye, I want to provide them with a special book that will remind them how much they are loved.

My students have worked incredibly hard this year to build reading skills.

They love books and it is even more special when they have one they can add to their personal home libraries after I’ve read it aloud in class.
