My Project

The students at BMES love reading and are eager to get their hands on books. Our school is currently in the middle of a read-a-thon, which encourages students to read as much as possible. Our goal is to log 100,000 minutes as a school, and we are well on our way! I am working to build book bundles of their favorite books and series to give away as prizes and incentives for participation.

Many of my students love to read, but don't have books to call their own.

There's something special about having your very own copy of a favorite book, and this project will help put dozens of books into the hands of my students. Reading is a gateway to knowledge, imagination, and lifelong learning. Reading also strengthens empathy, allowing children to connect with the experiences of others. By providing books and fostering a love of reading, we empower students to dream big, overcome challenges, and build the foundation for academic and personal success.
