My Students

I teach a diverse group of students that are smart, loving and want to learn. I have several students from various countries that speak a total of 21 different languages! I have recently moved from first grade to third grade and actually have two students that I taught in the first grade!

I want all of my students to be successful and have a life long love of learning.

We are considered a school with moderate poverty, but we do not qualify for additional state and government funds.

Each day is filled with lots of learning, love and kindness. I develop meaningful lessons to engage the students and keep them wanting to come to school everyday!

My Project

These books will impact my students by allowing them to be excited about reading! I chose a variety of books based on differing likes and interests. I plan to read many of them during my read aloud times as well as place them in our class library. I want students to feel that they have a plethora of books to choose from to gain confidence and the love of reading. Students are allowed to change their book boxes out weekly and discuss with partnerships their favorite parts and how the book made them feel. The students then encourage others to read that same book!
