My students love to read engaging books...especially series books and picture books that serve as engaging read-alouds. I love that each and every one of my students is different. They all have different needs and interests, especially when it comes to reading! My students have diverse backgrounds, including those who are ENL students, students with different cultural backgrounds, and students who are new to the school/country. Students love engaging in read-aloud, partner reading, and independent reading, particularly when they have books that interest them and are on their level.

This includes some new book bins, bulletin board materials, a class alphabet, pocket charts for small groups, plastic sleeves and frames for reading station work, dry-erase clipboards and stools for guided reading and small group work, series books to add to our library, and mentor texts to serve as engaging read-aloud as we build our class community.
