My Project

I have been slowly building a classroom library for my students over the last year and I want to keep acquiring books that will help get them hooked. One of the best things about my job is when I find the perfect book for a student and they just devour it!

Most of my high school students are somewhere between a 3rd and 6th grade reading level.

I want to provide every opportunity for them to find a book that they love.

I've found that my students gravitate towards graphic novels and manga, so that makes up a good chunk of this list. However, I've also included a selection of culturally responsive texts that was recommended by the New York Public library.
