My Project

Year after year, I find my fourth graders absolutely loving the time we spend reading in our classroom. I believe so much of that joy comes from shelves stacked with books that my readers actually want to read! Our classroom library is constantly growing and changing along with my readers. We are always discovering must-have books to add to our library. Books that my readers will love and find irresistible.

One thing that remains the same and never seems to change is the joy that books and reading bring to our classroom!

My fourth graders are absolutely wild about reading! I want to continue building a classroom library filled with high-interest books that reflect the wide range of interests and reading levels to reach all readers. Graphic novels such as Offside: A Graphic Novel and the Big Nate series, and beautiful picture books such as Let Me Finish! that we can enjoy together, will give every reader an opportunity to find something that grabs their attention. I hope to ignite a love for reading as every reader finds something that sparks their interest.

Reading rewards and reading notebooks are another way to support my readers and encourage focused reading, as well as celebrate the joy and effort my students put into becoming better readers. Thank you for helping fill our shelves with books and our hearts and minds with book joy!
