Books To Entice Teen Readers

My students need high-interest young adult novels that they can relate to. They need to be able to see a part of themselves in the characters and settings of the novels they read.

My Students

My students want to be successful. They are intelligent. They are hard workers. My students do not always have the resources needed to be as successful as they could be. My entire district receives free breakfast and lunch.

However, many of my students do not consider themselves to be readers.

Many of my students do not have books available to read in their homes.

Some of my students have never read a book from cover to cover. For my students to achieve their goals and to become successful, they need to be lifelong learners and readers. They need to practice reading. They need reading material that relates to them.

My Project

This request of 50 high interest young adult books from authors such as John Green, Sharon Draper, Ruta Sepetys will put these books in my students' hands. They will have many title options and will be sure to find titles of interest to them. They will practice reading and become fluent readers. They will be one step closer to achieving their goals of being successful.

Your donation will make a difference by supplying our classroom library with young adult novels that my students will see themselves in and enjoy reading.

The more they practice reading, the better they will get at it, and the more confidence they will have. They will have the confidence to achieve their dreams.
