Help me give my students books to read to build their love for reading, incentivize them with comfy chairs to sit in, and board games for our many indoor recesses.

My Project
My students missed 2 precious years of schooling. Then they came back to school procedures that weren't like anything they've ever known, teachers who taught behind desks and face shields, and that sharing is no longer acceptable. Yet, they've persevered and learned how to take on the many changes that had to be implemented to make in-person learning possible again. I want them to be able to escape with a good book to further their imagination, deepen their comprehension, and give us the chance to talk stories about their ideas. As an added incentive, they will be able to pick a comfy "teacher chair" to sit in for discussions.
Providing motivation is key to building students' stamina to keep the learning going in all content areas.
We are just beginning to see the gaps slowly being bridged through various social emotional learning activities and lots of review. The board games will enable them to build their socialization skills to form lasting friendships. The Iris plastic drawers will be used to house some of the books and games for easy access.
