Books To Encourage Reading

My students need books about holidays to help them become excited about reading and that will encourage them to read. They also need 10 book bins and a checkout cart.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like to be excited about reading espically books about the holidays that you loved when you were a child?

I have 19 students in a low poverty school.

Most have not been exposed to a lot of reading at home and I want them to become strong and excited readers so that they can grown and become strong, independent, and excited readers. My students love the holidays and all the excitement that comes with it.

My Project

My students are from a low poverty school. Our focus is having students read on their level so they can become independent readers. I have requested holiday and themed books because I want them to be excited about reading. Children love the holidays having books about the holidays they love will encourage them to pick up a book. If they pick it up they will try to read it and their skills will become even stronger.

My project is important because not only do I want my readers to grow, I want to capture their excitement from childhood and turn them into excited readers.

These books can make such a difference in their lives.
