My Students
My students are a group of 5th graders who are leaders in our school and eager to learn. We are creating a classroom where collaboration and creativity are key. My students come from a diverse background and all ability levels.
My incredible 5th graders deserve the best for their last year in elementary school! They are creative and capable students and
I aim to give them every opportunity possible to help them thrive as they transition to middle school and beyond.
My students are energetic and eager to get the most out of their final year of elementary school. They are learning to work together as a team and help each other be successful.
My Project
My students are in need of some high-interest, nonfiction books in our classroom. We read in small groups every day to allow for rich, academic conversation and to work on close-reading skills. Students want books that they can relate to.
Access to nonfiction books will allow my students to make meaningful connections to literature and to the world! I want my students to be inspired by biographies, read about problems facing our planet, and learn from history. These books will bring these topics and more into our guided reading groups. I am excited to see my students' enthusiasm for reading grow with access to new titles!
