My Students
Students come from all over the city of Boston to attend our exam school. As a community, we are proud of our diversity -- nearly ninety percent of our student population comes from a minority group -- and our commitment to a rigorous academic experience for all who walk through our doors.
We like to think of our library both as the heart of the school and as a hub for learning.
There are so many readers with broad ranges of interest who depend on us for supporting their information needs, yet we struggle to meet our goal of matching every reader with a book that's a good fit.
My Project
Students are motivated to come to the library for a variety of reasons, but increasingly they come to find a book to support independent reading goals set in ELA class or bolster a research report for civics.
The more up-to-date and relevant a collection is, the more students will come looking for titles in it.
Students are in the library daily, searching for books that meet their needs. Our job is to make sure we have something to offer every student, whether it's a student looking for a book to learn more about World War I or just seeking out something fun to read after a week of challenging tests.
