My Students

My fifth grade students are energetic and enthusiastic young leaders from a region located in the mountainous region of the scenic southwest. Our small-town is located in a rural area rich in culture and diversity.

Our school is classified as a Title I site.

These students work hard daily and would greatly appreciate any reading materials that would help them meet their learning goals for the year. I know they would truly look forward to our reading time each day with a new book in their hands!

My Project

These thought provoking books will help students to learn life lessons. Students will be pondering the question, "Does doing the wrong thing for the right reasons still make it ok?" Students will be able to connect to the characters in the story as well as find an answer to this question.

I want students to be excited about reading and for my lower readers to be confident with reading chapter books.

This book is engaging and will hook them into their reading. Students will be so excited they won't want to put it down.

I know that students will be able to reach their learning goals for our narrative unit with this book. They will find enjoyment in their reading and learn great life lessons along the way. As a teacher I know these are some of the most important things I can teach them.
