My Project
My students are curious, creative, and resilient young people who thrive when they feel seen, heard, and supported. They come from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds, and many are working hard to grow as readers. What I love most is their willingness to engage with stories that challenge them, reflect their experiences, or open their minds to new perspectives.
Each book in this project was chosen to meet their wide range of interests and reading abilities—from graphic novels that hook reluctant readers to novels in verse that make literature feel accessible and lyrical.
Suspense, fantasy, horror, and realistic fiction help spark imagination and empathy, while bilingual titles ensure all students can find stories that speak directly to them. This library will not only improve literacy skills but also build confidence, joy, and connection through reading.
