My Students

In my classroom, I want to teach understanding, reflection, and courageousness to stand up for what you believe in. I want to teach students to evaluate and critique everything that is put in front of them in order to have them make their own judgments and thoughts. Especially when it comes to current events: local, national and global!

My classroom is a rainbow of students and their resources should mirror that rainbow.

There are resources and materials that students and teaches need every day to help them grow and for me to guide them into being contributing members of society. The money that is spent on their learning journey is well worth it to me, but honestly, it never seems enough. There are always new needs, new situations confronting teachers and classrooms.

My students are eager, hungry to soak in knowledge and change the world and community around them. With your help, resources and materials may not be one of the obstacles that get in their way!

My Project

The books on this list serve many purposes. The first being books in other languages. In my classroom there are eight different languages spoken and heard. These students deserve books in their home language so that they can enjoy reading actual words instead of just looking at pictures. The love and respect they feel when they have a book in their home language is priceless. It is very hard to find books in Russian, Portuguese and even harder in Khmer. Not only does this list contain books of languages but it also contains books of many perspectives-one as far away as space!
