This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

To encourage a love for reading, books need to be readily available! At our Title I school most students do not have the ability to visit local libraries. Many students do not come from homes that have the financial means to purchase books. This makes our school library the only place to find books to take home and read.

Having a variety of books on many different levels will give my students a lot of enticing choices.

Through many years of use, our library books have become damaged, worn, and outdated. New, appealing books will encourage students of all reading levels to take a second look at a book. Pull it off the shelf. Then start reading. Additionally, I've included bookmarks to motivate students to keep reading.
