My Project

My first graders are curious, kind, and full of questions about the world around them. They need books that show characters who look like them, speak like them, and share experiences they can relate to. I'm requesting culturally relevant stories so my students can see themselves in books and feel proud of who they are.

I’m also asking for social-emotional learning books that help young children talk about big feelings, friendships, and how to be kind and strong.

These stories will help us build a classroom where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.

With your support, we can create a classroom library that helps students grow not just as readers, but as caring people, too.
