Books That Celebrate Hispanic Heritage

Help me give my students books that allow them to be seen and recognized through literature. Help me build my library to offer students books that represent their culture.

My Project

I am currently working on building my library full of shelves that represent my students' particular heritage and culture. Providing my classroom with these resources will instill a depth of connection to create meaning for students who are assimilating to American culture. The number one lesson I want to teach my students is that they belong here. In a society where they may not feel seen, heard, and represented, I want my students to experience acceptance, recognition, and appreciation of their cultural differences.

By offering our hispanic students with books that honor their culture and heritage, you are providing all of my students with an enriching experience in learning about another's cultural heritage.
