We seriously have some of the best students in our small-town elementary school. I have only just received my class list and started to get to know my students' names and faces.
My students are always ready to try something new and because of that, I want to be a better teacher everyday.
I want to grow with them!
Our school includes over sixty percent free or reduced-price lunch recipients. Together our community, parents, and staff work to get us everything we need. I am so grateful to have wonderful people like you also partnering with us to help get our students everything they so deserve.
Although this year may look a little different whether in person, online, or a mix of both, I know we'll build our classroom community and become the family we always are.
My Project
Books are such an important part of every classroom. Books inspire. They bring joy. Books teach and continue to excite our learning.
Books take children on adventures and to places they never imagined going.
I continue to make a list of diverse books recommended by teachers I am motivated by, my digital professional learning community. This project contains a lot of those amazing books!
These books will add many books about different cultures. It will also add many topics like kindness, growth mindset, and believing in yourself. This project also contains many books that highlight amazing black men and women.
I want my students to be exposed to a variety of books. Reading, for fun, is the most important thing a child can learn at school. I want to be sure we have many different types of books available. Thank you for your support of reading in my classroom.
The magnetic bookmarks will be wonderful gifts that my students can use at school and at home!
