My students from New Jersey are kind, caring, and love to learn. They live in a small, suburban town beside a nature preserve. They love to laugh and learn.
My children are excitedly waiting for books that will make them fall in love with reading in a newer and deeper way.
My children are beginning to learn the true meaning for reading. Reading is about finding friendships, heroes, and lessons in your favorite series or your favorite author's books. It's about realizing that you are not alone. There are characters in books just like you. It's also about discovering how different people are. Allowing another's story about life change how you view the world around you. Reading is knowing that the answer to your question, your dream, or your goal is just one nonfiction book away. Reading is your best friend and your way to learn the most you can about the topics you feel most passionate about.
My Project
These books will be placed into our classroom library, where they can be selected and enjoyed by the fourth grade students.
The books have been requested by the students in my class.
They will be guaranteed hits in the classroom!
One of my goals as a teacher is to match students with books they love, so that they will READ READ READ!
These are books that the students love and want. Choice is a huge factor in cultivating a love of reading in students. I believe that providing students with the books they requested will boost their love of reading to new levels.
