What is your favorite book? Would you like to help a first grade class love books so much that they beg to read or listen to them?

These first graders love stories!

I have recently adopted the DAILY 5 reading program in my classroom. This program fosters literacy improvement by engaging students in various activities centered around literacy and reading. One of these activities is called "Listen to Reading." It greatly helps those students who struggle to read a book themselves.

My Project

Wouldn't it be great to foster a love of books and reading at such an impressionable age? I love teaching First Grade for just that reason! It is my goal to get every student in my class to develop a love and excitement for reading! Will you help me?

Having these books will greatly help my kids engage in a love for reading and learning! It will especially help those students in my class who are still in the early stages of reading. Listening to a story can be just as much fun as reading one!
