My Students

My class is comprised of eighteen energetic, fun-loving kindergarten scholars ranging in learning styles. Active minds produce active learning, and with eighteen kindergarten students, remaining active is imperative in maintaining an effective classroom environment. My scholars come from diverse backgrounds and represent different ethnicities and social backgrounds. My school is a college and career orientated school that introduces colleges and careers from the beginning of their education.

The benefits of receiving this furniture will allow my scholars to more easily access materials, which can nurture their thirst for knowledge, and can make for insightful future students.

My Project

Our kinder classroom is currently lacking a sturdy bookshelf to display and store reading material in our classroom library. The Kaplan Book Display gives children the opportunity to choose their own literary adventures by making books accessible to young learners at their height level. This shelf will nurture their thirst for knowledge and produce more intrinsically motivated readers by allowing them to see and choose books on their level. This shelf is sturdy enough for kindergarten hands and the perfect height for kindergartners' reach. It will protect our books from tattering and withstand the test of time in our library for years and more learners to come!
