This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Books are powerful. They can be mirrors that reflect our lives, windows into the lives of others, and doors that lead us into new worlds.
In our school library, we strive to make sure every student feels seen, heard, and celebrated.
That is why we are building a collection of books that reflect the diversity of our school community. Books with characters of all colors, cultures, and abilities.
We are requesting books by diverse authors and illustrators who share authentic stories that inspire empathy, curiosity, and pride. With your help, we can fill our shelves with stories that show our young readers they belong and that their voices matter.
Help us grow a collection that celebrates every reader. Every donation helps us open hearts, open minds, and open books.
