I work with students of all ages in our small district of 400 students. It is my goal to help every one of them learn to love reading.
Reading has become part of our school culture and it is my goal to continue to provide our kids with books that they love to read!
I have more than tripled the number of books available in our Book Room since I started six years ago and I continue to add new books to the shelves. Because of the amazing work our teachers do, our kids are more and more excited to pick up new books, and I get asked all the time for books in certain series.
My Project
I have a list of books that kids ask for, and these books have been requested multiple times in just the last few months. The Book Room that I have put together allows students and teachers to find engaging, high-interest books to help children improve their reading ability.
As we all know, reading more makes kids learn more, and the series that I have requested will motivate so many kids to read!
Children from all grade levels are allowed to select books from the Book Room, meaning these books will reach hundreds of kids each year. And, if my Book Room continues to have high-interest books, they will continue to come back for more.
