My Students

I teach theater to 6th-8th grade students. My students are from low socioeconomic homes and the majority live in poverty-stricken neighborhoods. Most of my students come to school in uniform, even if their uniforms need a little extra TLC, which I willingly give. My students are loving and eager to learn new things. They look forward to releasing energy and creativity in my Theater class. All of our scholars enjoy reading and using books to help create skits in class. Please help provide these students with a good selection of books to choose from.

My Project

My students work hard everyday. Whenever they come to Theater class, they love to be creative and let loose. These books will allow them to explore many different topics to use for inspiration in my class. They will no longer be stuck with using the small collection of books on my bookshelf but will have many options to choose from. They will be able to find a book that speaks or inspires them in a unique way. They will use that book to create original skits based on the story they read. Thank you for helping to make a difference.
