My Students

I am a teacher in Hartford, Vermont. I attended as a student, taught for awhile, and I am now back!

I have not had the pleasure of meeting my students as of yet.

We are all starting back to school as of the 8th in our state. I do know that great book sets for the classrooms will be a wonderful addition for the kids.

My Project

The book sets I am hoping to acquire will inspire readers of all levels. These works of historical fiction speak to kids of all abilities and ages! In an era where we are too plugged in, reading a great book can change the whole trajectory of a student's academic availability.

Being able to put a book in the hands of kids may seem trivial and mundane, but the reality is, kids are not reading for pleasure anymore.

Having high interest, high involvement books is quintessential to fostering a love of reading. These books have the added bonus of having historical relevance as well.

When students enjoy reading, they become better readers. With these book sets I can help them become better readers, everyday.
