Help me give my students a library in my room that is diverse in English and Spanish books. I also want to order Scholastic weekly readers in order to introduce the world around them.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Nunes's classroom raised $656

My Project
Most of my students that enter my classroom are considered non-English speakers. My students consist of some English speaking, and the rest are Spanish or Creole speaking students. Most of my students have just entered this country and need many literacy supports especially since this is their first time entering a school setting.
Many students do not have any books at home to read with their parents.
I would like to start the year off with enough money to buy books in several languages so the students can borrow books to bring home in book bags and to develop a multilingual library in my classroom.
I also would like to introduce my students to their own newspaper, the Scholastic Weekly Reader. The weekly reader will help them learn about the world around them.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
