Thank you for helping me build a classroom library.
I teach English Language Arts and English Language Development to 9-12 graders at a Title I school. More than 50% of our students are on free or reduced lunch and close to 90% are Latinx, African America, or Asian. These students have little access to books in Spanish and my hope as a teacher is that I am able to influence these wonderful people in the most positive way. The school is very diverse and many of my students are migrants and refugees.

My hope is to build an inspiring library of the world's great books. My plan for the library is to introduce my students to books they otherwise would not have interest or opportunity to engage with. I read with a deep passion and hope to inspire my students to do the same. I give books talks of the books and set up a system for lending the books. I also use the books for specific assignments at different times throughout the year.
