Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach second grade at a two-way immersion school where both native Spanish speakers and native English speakers come together to learn a new language from one another. My sweet, bilingual students are hard-working, kind, and a joy to teach. I am so proud to be their teacher!

I am requesting books that my students will be able to take home to read and enjoy with their families.

My students love books! Several years ago, my district provided "Literacy Kits" for students to take to and from school so that they would have access to books at home. I have used these kits for three years now and my families love them. However, some books have gone missing, so this project will help supply replacement books. Additionally, I have started printing books from one of our curriculum resources that students can also take home to read. I am requesting cardstock to print those books on, as well as a high-powered stapler to bind them together.
