This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how imaginative, curious, and full of energy my students are! They are first graders who light up when they’re given the chance to explore, create, and connect with what they’re learning; especially through stories and play.

This project brings together two things my students absolutely love: books and action figures.

The action figures of Spidey and His Amazing Friends will help students retell stories, act out scenes, and build their own adventures, supporting their language development, comprehension, and social-emotional skills through dramatic play.

In addition, I’m requesting engaging early chapter books to help my growing readers build confidence, stamina, and a love for reading. These books are a bridge between picture books and longer novels, and they’re perfect for developing fluency and vocabulary in a fun, age-appropriate way.

With your help, I can provide materials that meet students where they are by combining literacy with hands-on experiences that make learning unforgettable.
