Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a Title I school in the Bay Area. A majority of my students are first-generation Americans with hardworking immigrant parents. Seventy percent of the students at my school are receiving free or reduced-price lunch.
My students are hardworking and enthusiastic learners.
They are easily motivated and enjoy attending school every day. They are always excited to try and learn new concepts. My students inspire me every day to be a better teacher. I could not ask for a better group of students.
My Project
My students loving reading, drawing and writing. I am requesting for how to draw books to help incorporate all of these subjects in one activity. These books will help teach my students to draw everyday items such as animals, people and vehicles with simple and easy to follow directions. I plan to give each of my students one of these books so that they could use it to help guide their learning at home. I know that they will treasure this book for a long time. Your donation to this project will provide my students with the books they need to draw, read and write.
