Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work at a Title I school in Orlando, Florida. Our school is housed in a small neighborhood and everyone knows everyone else. We have a high population of English Language Learners.

Our families don't have the opportunity or means to go to the library or purchase books for their children.

I would like to continue helping build my student's home libraries. They will each receive a book as well as a stuffed animal that goes with their book. They can practice reading to their buddy while enjoying the books with their families. The laminating will help make games for the students to use in school and at home.
