This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The books we're seeking will enrich our second graders' educational journeys. Through engaging narratives and informative texts, these books will bolster literacy, expand their knowledge across various subjects, and stimulate creativity. By accessing a diverse array of books, our students will develop a profound appreciation for story telling. Our overarching goal is to cultivate a robust library that not only promotes literacy but also nurtures curiosity, celebrates diversity, and inspires a love of reading.

Specifically, we aim to enhance reading engagement, and encourage exploration of different cultures and perspectives.

What truly sets our students apart is their innate curiosity, creativity, and resilience. Each child brings a unique personality to our classroom, creating a vibrant learning community. Their enthusiasm for learning inspires us daily, and reminds us the importance of fostering a lifelong love for reading and knowledge.
