My Students
I am blessed with an amazing classroom of Shining Stars. My school is very diverse culturally and we also have a strong military presence. Our students come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds.
Our school is committed to creating life long 21-century learners who are prepared to be part of our world and contributing members of society.
They are our future.
My goal as their teacher is to bring the world to them and provide a variety of learning strategies.
My Project
These books will allow my students to choose a book that is on their reading level and will allow them to feel confident while enjoying a good book. Because these books come in sets, I will be able to group kids together and have Socratic seminars as we read together.
My students will benefit by being able to work on reading books on their own reading level, and work on comprehension and develop confidence in their reading abilities.

I want to instill in my students the thrill of reading and to take them on literary journeys. The best way to fight ignorance is by being exposed to many thoughts and ideas.
