This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are entering English language learners. Increasing their reading time would support their English language development. They want books that are about topics they are interested in. They love soccer and are always talking about their favorite players.

Having books about topics my students are interested in will ignite their passion for reading.

I look forward to encouraging and motivating life-long readers with these new books. My students will have the opportunity to make progress in their English language skills while learning more about a topic they are truly interested in.
